Here is the latest update from the of the Ghana Education Service (GES) to the general public, teachers and students concerning the 2025 BECE and WASSCE.
In a letter to all Regional directors of Education, according to Graphic Online, the Education service has shared the examination schedule for the 2025 BECE and WASSCE and have called for timely preparation.
According to the letter shared, the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is scheduled to take commence from 9th June to 16th June, 2025.
The West African Senior School Certificate Examination WASSCE, is scheduled to take place from 4th August 2025 to 19th September, 2025.
The West African Examination Council WAEC will be ready to provide the details concerning the registration period later on.
The Regional Educational Directorates are required to pass this vital information to the various levels such as the District, Municipal, Metropolitan educational directors.
Officials are also expected to share this information to all heads of basic schools and senior high school across the country to ensure adequate preparation for the exams.
BECE Grading System 2025
The BECE (Basic Education Certificate Examination) grading system is used in some countries, like Ghana, to evaluate the performance of students at the end of their Junior High School (JHS) education.
